In an update to our earlier post, several sources are noting that WWE developmental wrestler Hunico, who replaced Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde as the Sin Cara character while Alvirde was serving his suspension, was actually the performer who wrestled the re-taped match against Heath Slater at the Smackdown tapings this week.
Update (2:56pm PST): We are now getting reports from fans in attendance at the event, as well as other sources, which are claiming Hunico wrestled both matches, and that Mistico did not wrestle on the taping at all. What we do know, at the very least, is that Mistico was sent home and that Hunico has been tapped to play the Sin Cara character going forward. We apologize for any confusion.
Again, no word right now on what WWE plans to do with Mistico going forward.
