- Former WWE SmackDown star Eric Escobar is now working for the IWA promotion in Puerto Rico. He is the current IWA Undisputed World Unified Heavyweight Champion, after winning the title earlier this month.

- Main events at recent RAW live events have seen WWE Champion The Miz defeat Randy Orton. Orton then gets his win back by defeating Alex Riley in a quick match ordered by the RAW General Manager.

- The main event at this weekend's SmackDown live event was chanted to Dolph Ziggler vs. Edge in a singles event so the two could practice before their World Heavyweight Title match at the Royal Rumble.
