- SyFy issued the following yesterday:

WWE’S Friday Night Smackdown WAS #1 IN CABLE ON SEPTEMBER 23

STAMFORD – September 28, 2011 – WWE Friday Night Smackdown was the # 1 show on Cable with 3.25 million total viewers on Friday, September 23. This was the highest rated Friday episode of Smackdown on Syfy among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49. The 2.1 household rating is up +17% versus last week garnering 1.35 million Adults 18-49 and 1.36 million Adults 25-54.

Other ratings highlights:

Smackdown was the #1 telecast in cable on Friday with male viewers overall and with Men 18-49 and 25-54.

Smackdown was watched by 1,182,000 female viewers, beating all programming on CW, TLC, A&E, HGTV, Food Network, Lifetime, Hallmark, and Oxygen.

Smackdown was watched in the most homes since April 8, 2011, which was the first Smackdown after WrestleMania XXVII.

Originating from the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH, Friday Night Smackdown featured WWE’s biggest Superstars and Divas, including World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry®, Randy Orton®, Christian®, Sheamus™, Sin Cara™, Cody Rhodes™, Daniel Bryan™, Natalya™ and Beth Phoenix™. WWE Friday Night Smackdown airs from 8-10 PM/ET on Syfy.
