According to Fayetteville Observer, here is the latest on Matt Hardy's arrest.
State trooper B.J. Smith stated that Hardy had not been drinking, but did feel that Hardy, "appeared to have taken some type of impairing substance" and was slurring his words. Hardy did submit to a blood test so we'll need to wait for those results to come back.
On Saturday, Hardy was traveling south in his 2009 Chevrolet Corvette when it ran off the road and struck a culvert pipe and a tree. He was released from his TNA contract following the incident, and will appear in court on September 28th to face charges of driving while impaired and exceeding the safe speed while driving.
He was released from this TNA contract immediately after. He had already been placed on suspension due to his behavior.
