- The Fayetteville Observer newspaper reports that Jeff Hardy's court date has been postponed until June 1st, not June 27th at reported earlier by another newspaper.
They also note that the drug treatment program that Hardy's lawyer has requested could serve as an alternative to him serving any jail or prison time.
We noted earlier that Becky Carlson, district administrator for the Sentencing Services Program, would be forming her own opinion as to whether Hardy needs drug therapy or not, then get another view from an expert and recommend a treatment plan.
The Fayetteville Observer reports that Carlson told the court yesterday that based on her first review of Hardy, he is "borderline" in need of an in-patient drug treatment program that would go for 28 days.
If Hardy receives the treatment, he could end up in out-patient or in-patient treatment.
